We lost power about 30 minutes ago. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for it to come back on. Might be using the fireplace here soon.

What George really needs is a PTO driven backup generator. I'm sure he has a tractor around somewhere that would run one.

Hope it comes back on soon, George. I know all to well how that is. We were without power for almost two weeks a few years back. Not something I want to do again.

Still no power. It is only us and two neighbors across the street which makes it a little more aggrevating. Hopefully soon. Good thing is, the house actually hasn't gotten too cold yet.

George, I know this is no fun. Hope you have another heat source, fireplace is good. Just have to feed it. We hooked a small gas heater up to the pipe in the kitchen (we have an elec. range) and used it to warm soup and cook on . That's all we had for heat in the whole house. Been a while since I had made camp fire coffee.

High winds, heavy snow and some trees with leaves still on them leads to a lot of trees on the power lines. I can only remember one other time earlier than this. Sometime in the early 70's we had a storm here on Oct 20 that brought about a foot of snow and power was out for up to 2 weeks in some areas.
