I need to know the proper belt numbers for the starter/generator and the drive belt for my Model 80. The ones that are on it seem to be way to big, could just be they are stretched and worn. Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a parts manual for the Ford 80 here: Tractor Manuals - Manuals - Garden Tractor Talk - Forums
Also a belt guide that may show your part #s: Implement Manuals - Manuals - Garden Tractor Talk - Forums
Good luck!

Kenny

Appreciate the input, I looked and the parts manual calls for part #343015 for the starter and 343017 for the drive belt. Neither of which match up in the belt guide. There is a Model 80 listed in the belt guide but those numbers are way different. Could it be that the numbers were changed later after the tractor came out?

What is the model # on your tractor? Check New Holland online for new belt #s, possibly.

Did some searching around and found the Jake # for these, 53074. Messicks has a 53075 tractor that seems to be the same. I pulled these two pics from their site. I hope this is close to what you have.

Just in case these are hard to read, here is what they list:
86518889 .66 W X 76.94 L
86514603 .38 W X 35 L
Do you have a New Holland dealer close by that could maybe match your belt #s to these?

Drive belt appears the same but I am not sure on the starter belt. The starter sits in front of the engine on my 80 (8 hp), belt is on the left hand side (setting in the seat). I believe the one in this pic is for the 10 hp setting on the right side. I would gander to bet it wouldn't be that far off though. I will try the New Holland dealer, I have been told our local one is not all that helpful when it come to older equipment. Thanks again for your help.
