Today is the start of year 38 with the same employer. Troopers would come in sometimes with a lit cigar and ask " how's it going sparky ? " And a corroded wire would demonstrate a spark to oblige. Now no cigars and layers of software to " fix " anything. So if anybody asks - it's 37 and counting .

Congratulations on your achievement. I remember something from a previous post that you want to stick around to annoy the younger ones. You have my blessing, stay at your current job and show the youngsters the proper way to do things. If you enjoy what you are doing, keep at it.

Congrats on the ever longer career Sparky! It's rare these days to stay at one job that long. For the first several years (better than a decade and a half) the only way to get a raise for me was to find another job! I've finally found a decent place to work and have been there for just over 11 years. I hope to not get to 37 years though as that wold make me 79 years old LOL! That's a fine accomplishment and you should be proud of it!

Congratulations. I'm working on year 29 myself. If you enjoy what you do it makes all the difference!
