Hey guys,
A guy called me today and said he had a DB with a sicle mower and a big old motor that runs (maybe a Briggs and maybe an 8 or 10 hp). The tires are flat and shot, but the mower may work. Wants $50.00 for it. May try to check it out later.

Decent price, and worth a look. Good luck on it.

A big briggs, could be a 725, if its got a round front axle then its 62 to 63. If its got a square axle then its a 64. If its got ags for tires then its most likely earlier then 65. Great tractors, I hope you get many years of great service outta it.

Is it a 2 wheel or a rider?

It's a two wheel. Haven't had a chance to get over there yet. I called yesterday but there was no answer.

Well diddlepoo. After losing the phone number for a week and then finding it again, I can't get an answer when I call the guy.

I would sure jump on that deal. A friend gave me a 1951?? DB two wheeler. It was on its way to the scrap dealer. About $300. later ($230 for tires and tubes) It looks pretty good. BUT at the scrap metal dealer I found a ROTO-STICK with the snow blower attachment. It pulls through good but I really haven"t tried to start it yet. Junker Jim

For $50, I would have to agree with earlier statements, but parts are parts. The mower alone is going on ebay for well over that price. I would certainly keep getting after that deal.
