Yes it was. My daughter was very happy to see that.
Dale, we have 5. 4 boys and a girl I haven't seen yet. My daughter from a previous marriage was coming down, but the little girl got sick and she couldn't make it down. We'll get together soon. Her brother, who shares the same first name as my son, lives in Wichita and they visit there. So we'll meet in Wichita before long.

Today, I got an early Father's Day present from my youngest daughter. I thought I would post it here, as it pertains to Terry and Heathers feelings of it all. She presented me with a poem she had written that I thought was very nice. I thought I would share it with you all. Yes, it still hurts and there isn't a day goes by that I am not looking for her at some point. But it's getting better. Next Thursday would have been her birthday. My son will be here to visit then. Anyway, here's what Heather put together:

My thanks to all the GTTalk members who helped me through this. All of you are the greatest friends a man could have.

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful poem with us Kenny. I know that the hurt lasts and special occasions bring back many memories, but rest assured that we will continue to offer our support.

Grand, that is what makes this a very special place for me. All of you guys are there anytime you are needed. June 1st would have been our 39th Anniversary. With her birthday coming up, I guess I'm thinking a bit more lately. Thanks!

You may not hear her voice, or feel her physical presence, but she is still with you guys every minute of every day. I could feel your pain through this thread, and that is exactly why I made that "extra" decal for you. I hope you all continue to get better dealing with your loss, but some day you will reunite, so you have lots to look forward to. In the meantime, enjoy your children. That's a sweet poem Kenny!

Daniel, that decal has been a blessing. I'm getting better, but just getting through this first year is tough. So many 'firsts' to go through. I read the prayer by johndeereelfman again a bit ago. Think I need to print that out and hang it close by. You guys can't be beat!

Kenny Thanks for sharing such a wonderful poem! Wow she is talented!
My thoughts are with you and your family as I can understand the loss of someone close. I continue to remind myself of the good times shared and am grateful for them. Her memory lives on in you, in the ones around you and the influence she had on all of you. God bless you and may you find peace and comfort as time goes by.

Kenny, that is a wonderful poem by your daughter and it was a real blessing for her to share it with you. I really appreciate you sharing it with us. As you know time will heal the hurt and this is just the process you have to go through, you have wonderful children there to help with the healing process and that is a blessing in it self.

Thanks for sharing a special memory with us.

Kenny, we're all here if you need us. Someone seems to be here just about 24/7. Being here gets me thru some rough patches too, so I can relate.

I'll be thinking of you on Thursday.

I'm a little late on this one Kenny, but I wanted to say that I was touched by the poem. Your burden will get easier with time. As was said above, Terry is with you in all the memories you have of her and in the influence that she had on your lives. We are always here for you Kenny.

Losing someone is always hard...This thread is one of many great ways to remember her though. It also allows us a window into how you feel and that is pretty special.
