The nurse came by today and checked on her. She could leave us at any time and for her sake I hope it is soon. She has suffered for long enough. She is resting a comfortably as we can make it for her.

Kenny I hope she is comfortable and has the ones close to her, with her,I know how you feel!! I sat with someone I loved and she went in my arms without her family and I know in my heart she knew that. So please tell her you will always love her and will be with her soon. I still cry at nights thinking of all the special times we spent together and it's not so much the words but the time we spent together and that I think she will take that with her.
God bless you.

Just a little some thing I thought I might share with you wonderful friends. We have our passion in our GT's. Terry's passion was reading. These pictures only show a portion of her collection.

These last three pics are of a cabinet that is stacked two books deep.
There are several more book cases, boxes, and sacks that are filled. She has several authors complete (or nearly) paperback sets.

My wife reads like that too. She passes them on or puts them at the quarter table at the yard sale.
Her big thing is (as I call them) "Hysterical" Romance Books. She calls my hobby "Rusty Stuff"... we're even :laughingteeth:

Kenny what you are having to endure with Terry has really brought home my own situation with my wife and her COPD. Over this past week I have come to appreciate the time we spend together more then ever. I do hope Terry is resting comfortably and we will continue to pray for you and your family.

May God be with both of you.

Kenny
Again it is so hard to express my feelings in words. I lost my Dad to prostrate cancer back in "92". We were able to keep him at home till the end and that was valuable time to send together. Us kids took turns at night to stay with him to give Mom a break and get a little sleep. Mom is "92" and sharp as a tack today and still on her own in there house.
The Lord has a plan for all of us, we may not understand it but in the end His kindness will be our salvation.

You might be right Kenny !!!! I have not found a site quite like this, the people here are so sincere and honest, to the point of just being just Friends. I wish I could be with you in this time of need. But the space between us is what we have. Your situation has reminded me of better times that I will never forget. God Bless You!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing a little of Terry's passion with us Kenny. I, too, am a bit of an avid reader, but not nearly as versed as she. I'm thankful that she will get to spend her remaining days surrounded by her loved ones. You're in my prayers!

Several years back, we were all part of a 'corn harvest' in Western Kansas. I found a few pics and thought I would share. One didn't come out so great. We were taking in shelled corn, running it through a crimper, then it was pushed into huge silage pits and packed. This was for a feedlot in Garden City, Ks. And yes, Daniel, there were black and white cows there too.
Terry2.jpg
Anyway, this is a pic of Terry and the tractor she learned to operate. It is an 8850 with a Cat repower, over 400 HP.
Terry1.jpg
I'll always cherish this pic. She wasn't a city girl, had horses early in life. But she had never been on a tractor before in her life. She learned quickly on how to pack, just didn't have to push. The blade added extra weight for packing, but the tractor could be used by a seasoned operator for pushing the corn into the pit if their tractor broke down. I was proud of her accomplishment of this.
