Found this one on my local Craigs and emailed to see if he would trade for my Case 444 with its tiller, because that's the only way I would get this Satoh, but has anyone heard anything bad about them?
It looks identical to an Iseki, so I am assuming it to be the same deal, this one looks to be manual transmission.

Buzz, any Satoh I ever saw was Mitsubishi built. Not saying it can't be an Iseki - just telling you what little I think I know. Good Luck!

I believe that Gtractor is correct. If I remember correctly Mitsubishi bought out Satoh a number of years ago. I have not heard anything bad about them but I'm sure a Google search would be a good choice for information.

I had one for a while a while back. Satoh is the manufacturer, they have mitsubishi engines in them. Mine was a Satoh as well.

It was a decent little tractor for what it was...

Parts are available through the internet - if you look for them.....

Mine was cold blooded - in Florida "cold days"! But once you got it running, it ran good.

What is the horsepower rating of one of these machines. I might call the guy tomorrow, never got a response to my email this evening.

14 or 15 hp from the engine, 12 or so from the pto if I remember correctly.

Cat 0 3 point, kinda low powered lift capacity. Used a live clutch (pedal 1/2 way down for the engine clutch, all the way down for the pto clutch).

Mine had a 3 0r 4 speed manual box with high/low range.

You can probably go to tractordata.com for the specs...

Tractor is kinda light, traction was an issue as I remember.
