It does a nice job Gary. I forget, does a 400 have a dif lock? I have never done any plowing but it looks like some good seat time!

well the 400 pulls it lots easier but doesn't do as good of a job as the 318 . when you put the plow in the ground with the 318 it would float i guess you would say but the 400 doesn't . i only have about 2 1/2 to 3 " of free travel in my lifting bolts on my lifting arms but i'll get that adjusted some day . i think if i had some weight on the tractor and a 3 point plow it would be much easier and better but it works pretty good .

it would have plowed better if we had some stinkin rain . 1 inch since July so there is no moisture in the ground at all . the dirt looked like i had plowed bricks when i was done .

That would make it pull harder as well wouldn't it. I know when grading it goes easier when there has been some rain to make the ground a bit soggy.

Gary,
Too bad you couldn't make it to the Missouri 2 Cylinder Club plow day in Marthasville Saturday, the 15th. We had acres and acres of field to plow. There was close to 20 garden tractors overall. Here's a link to the event and some pictures and a link to one of the members here (and wfm) to his photobucket site:

We have a blast.

Oh Gary Just wait until you attend one and she will really think your nuts. LOL Right Terry. Once you get the 400 dialed in you will really like it as a plowing machine.
