I just purchased a Ford 100 with an 8hp Kohler cast iron engine on it and was wonder approximate value and year. Not sure where the serial number is located on it. I did not see one.

i ran your serial numbers through and its a 1966 t800 which was a older version of the ford 80 , thats the reason why it has a k181 8 hp kohler

i did it through www.messicks.com , but the problem i have found in the past when i wanted to check the years of my lgts is ford use generic serial numbers like 09jc3282 was a ford lgt125 but that only tells you it was made from 1978-1983 , where the older gt series went serial number year by year , but if i find a better way i will let you know

Poncho, I too would like to find a way to figure year on the later models. I'm pretty sure mine is a 1977 because of a low serial #, 1755.
