Heres some photos of my 314. I've been working on it since April with lots of help from folks here on GTTAlk. I just got the carb adjusted so it runs Ok and put the engine covers and grills back on it. I gave it a good run for about an hour using it as a roller on some spots on my driveway and trails where I had added some gravel to level it. It starts pretty much instantly and doesn't smoke. Thanks to everyone who helped. Heres the pictures.

Stock tires Al. I think it's mostly the fact that there isn't a deck on it and the angle of the picture maybe. I'm not sure if there is more clearance than the newer tractors but the clearance is quite high. I've spent enough time under it working on various problems to appreciate it!

Thanks guys. It wasn't a total restore. I initially thought I could get it going by June.:bigrofl::bigrofl:
Four months and about 600$ later it is back in good condition. I learned a lot in the process and got a lot of good advice here. Next year I'll try to get an adapter made so I can use the front hitch and 54 blade I have, add a second hydraulic circuit and get a box blade for the sleeve hitch.

Great job Brian! Amazing how these "little projects" can snowball, isn't it? I have got to where I double my time estimates and triple the estimated price to get the project done.

If you were not so far away, I'd say lets get on our "new" tractors and take a victory lap around the yard - but you have to wait for me to "finish" my 316K - just a few more things to complete.......!
