Brought home a B115 today. The p.o. said it only ran once for him after he bought it two years ago. The starter is bad, so we turned it over with a 1/2 drill and a socket. It fired right up! The carb was set way too rich to the point of flooding the engine and pouring out black smoke. After some adjustments and some sea foam it is running smoothly again. hopefully we can reinstall the mower deck and the grandson can start using it. The wife doesn't understand why we need another one. I keep telling her that one is too many and ten is not enough! Here's some pics. Rick 001.jpg

Replaced the starter, changed the oil, and reinstalled the mower deck. The grandson mowed 4 yards with it on Saturday. I put a plate on the discharge so he could mulch leaves. The only thing left is to change out the hydrostat oil. Can someone tell me what Toro/Wheel Horse was using in this model? Rick

The hydro holds 24 oz. of SAE 30 motor oil.
The transaxle holds 1-3/8 quarts SAE 90 hypoid gear oil.

What model do you have?
1982 model 02-11BE01
or
1983 model 12-11BE01
The ID plate looks to be under the dash housing in your 2nd from the last photo. It should have the serial number and Julian build date on it also.

Fair bit of info available for both.

That looks like it's in great shape Rick! The mower deck even looks clean! I'm glad that the Grandson is having fun with it! I see the tubes on the back for the grass catcher, did you get that as well?

Caseguy, The grass catcher was long gone. The grandson thinks we should convert the tubes to dual exhaust.

Your model number is 02-11BE01 with a dash
13846 is the serial number but is not used. If you are asked for the serial at Toro do not enter it. Use the word none for a serial number
1335 is the Julian build date - 335th day of 1981 = Tuesday December 1, 1981

The manuals are in the Files of
wheelhorsetractormanuals2_5 : wheelhorsetractormanuals2_5
Look at one named
Tractor 1982 B-115 Auto 02-11BE01 INFO
first for to rest.
