Ok so today got back to messin with the cub 782 that has the series two kohler kt. Anyways the engine is relatively new purchased and installed brand new a few yrs back then sat ever since. I am trying to get it goin and it starts up and runs but I think its only running on one cylinder. The plug and coil are working on that side, right, but its blowing fuel up out of the carb bad. Does that mean its a stuck valve? Someone please help and w e it is can someone tell me how to fix it. Thanl you.

yes, sounds like either a sticky valve, or maybe old carbon broke loose & is holding the intake valve open. Do a compression check to be sure. You can do a simple check without special tools.....just take out the spark plug & see if it will pop your finger off the plug hole while spinning the engine. Be sure to keep the plug wire away from you to avoid a shock, or better yet, ground the kill wire. If you can hold your finger over the hole with no problem, then a valve is stuck open almost for sure.

Ok I believe that is it because compression seems low. So now what? Reseat valve orwhat ? Thank you very much olcowhand.
