If you go to NAPA they have some real close matches to the Bolens Brown.
I know that alot of people use Rustoleum Leather Brown.... The first couple restorations I did were with custom mixed rustoleum and so far the paint is holding up fine.
But from now on I will use automotive paints when I do my next restoration( IMO seems like better quality paint)

What about the metallic? It was under one of the decals and I don't see any evidence the tractor has ever been repainted. I might be wrong but I've seen in on a couple different spots. Did these have a slight metallic in the brown (cordovan)?

Do you have any pictures of the metallic spot?
I have seen the same thing on a few other tractors when the decal was removed.
My only guess is that they had a hint of metallic in the paint and it faded away over the years

I will try to get a couple pictures and see if they turn out enough to show in the picture. I have found it on the air cleaner back plate, the bottom of the battery tray, and under the PTO decal.
