I pulled the deck off last weekend to do some core aerating and now have it laying in the garage. I'm considering rebuilding or replacing the spindles and idler while it's off. Does anyone have the correct part numbers for doing so, or if previously answered, point me down the right path. I've searched but not found p/n's yet. The entire Serial number is H048G 390740M.

Having greasable zerts would be a bonus.

Hi Terry,
From what I can tell so far you have a 48 deck that shares many parts with the model 41 I have on the 120. If I am correct then the following is what you need. To be sure a picture of the deck would help me narrow it down.

Thanks Trav1s. I'm at work so unable to snap a pic. These look just as my spindles do, so I believe this is the correct schematic. The S/N was on an aluminum tag just behind the discharge chute on the right side, and of course there were covers over the spindles which I intend to leave off. There is a single roller up front and narrow wheels on the back with the left one having a 1/2" round bar that is "J" shaped coming off the left rear wheel support and turning down to where it is welded to the deck. The right one doesn't have this extra support, but both have a flat triangular support welded at about a 45 deg angle from the rear wheel uprights down to the deck.

From the latest post I believe that we have the right one. I will email the doc to you in a few. The formatting is much better.

I sure did. Thank you very much for that. I called the local Deere dealer to check parts availability and prices. They have most everything in stock. I think I am going to go ahead and replace the bearings, one of the spindle pulleys, and the idler. I'm waiting on the penetrating oil to do it's job before I tackle it.

Thanks again for the schematic.
