Any experience with Tire Chains with the 24" Turf Tires on a GT6000?
Part Number should be 24861

I don't want to hit the body and most of the heavy work I have would not require my AG tires...

Thanks

I run 23x10.5x12 tires, they are fine with chains.

If you have the stock size tire, then the clearance for tire chains is there, and they are fine. Just be sure to tension the chains so they can't flap around. I have heard stories of misfit tire chains tearing off fenders!!

Loose chains will tear your tractor apart

Well I pit the.chains on and they fit really tight. They worked awesome and have me veey good traction in wet and muddy dirt. I was pulling a small box scraper and a front blade. But better fit then I had hoped for. They are Peerless 2 link 24X12"- 12" I got them off of ebay. Hpe this helps. Rupe

Awesome deal Rupe. I went with Atv tires on my 1988 Craftsman gt6000 (caterpillar). I can't wait to try them either, they are 26x10.5-12s. Do you have pics of your fitted chains?

The only pic with chains is when I buried it on a sand hill when my Box scraper got hung up in a dip in the road. but I haven't learnes to post pictures yet. I can TXT them or email them to you if you want.
