Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me with my 1969 John deere 140. I need a Wiring Diagram / Schematic w/ color codes. My deere is the non points and condenser type. Solid State is what I'm told it is. My serial # is 021124M and Type is T0581. This is what I'm hoping you someone might be able to help me with.
I'm rewiring my 69 JD 140 H1 fried and brittle wiring. Any help would be appreciated!
PS: I looked on JD's website. They're diagram is not detailed enough. :(

Thank you
Inger_Paw_4018

jd., Are you sure about the serial number. The 69 tractors, from what I know of them didn't use a type code, just a serial number. I will look through my manuals tomorrow and see if I have a copy of the wiring for the solid state ign.

I also wanted you to know that I removed the other thread you started about this issue. I hope you can understand that we don't want to have members posting to 2 separate threads about the same thing.

Texas, I'm sure about the Serial & Type. No problem about the other thread. Looking forward to you hopefully having the schematic w/color codes!

I must have been asleep when I posted my reply. JD. did use type codes, they didn't use a different code for CUSTOM COLOR, "Patio" Tractors. Sorry that I mis-quoted myself. I will look around today and see what I can find for you.

I would love to grab that. I can't justify that kind of $. When I know I can do this myself. Once I have the color codes and schematic that is. :) Thanks for the thought though.
