I seen one of those on ebay a while back but can't recall what it was called. I will probably just lay low this round, let someone else go for the win. Good luck guys.

Congratulations to Lauber1 for correctly answering that this is a early 60's model Craftsman Riding Mower. He had the answer in less then 30 minutes. I'm going to have to find tougher stuff for this game. :wallbanging::D

Thanks for playing everyone. We'll post another new one next week, so keep watching for WHAZZAT !!!

Sherwood, when I saw the pic of your rider that brought back memories. I bought one of those new about 1962, about $145, to mow lawns when I was a kid. Mine had the 5 HP Tecumseh with the wind up starter and single speed tranny, which I wore out. My dad and I painted it Chevy Orange, added a Hi-Lo tranny, pneumatic tires and replaced the white steering wheel with a chrome one from Sears parts .
When in Hi range I had the fasted riding mower in the neighborhood, I could do wheelies and flip it to run on either the right of left two wheels. A balancing act.
I have the owners manual around here somewhere. If I find it I will post it.

I want to put pneumatic tires on too. It's a rough ride now.
