While I was in Geneseo, IL at the AETA show, someone made a really good point. He had original seats on his JD collection and decided to wrap and store those to keep them in good condition and put the repro seats on his JDs instead. This fellow was displaying this collection, but wouldn't sit on his tractor or ride it in the parade for fear or breaking down the seat. He kept them covered in plastic. Now he can enjoy the new ones, they will look completely original, seat and all and yet he has the true original in safekeeping.

I was thinking that also Kate It is hard to spend $300.00 on a used seat that you don't want to set
on for fear of trashing it and the seat Deere sells now just don't look like the originals and on top of that you
are lucky to find one of the originals anymore that is good The Patio guys bought them up and colored them

And Josh made a great point the cheapest patio seat I have seen I bought at $350.00 some of the guys have been coloring the
seat Deere sell's but it just don't do it for me.

Don't get me wrong if the newer seat is what you like it yours do what you like, But win I have looked at
some of tractor's guys have spent so much time in and they had to settle for what was out there because there is not enuff
good used ones around

I guess I'm cornfused. Is this just for the seat cover or the whole seat? Maybe the cover and the padding?? And these are still reproduction seats, not NOS, right?

Those are shaped exactly like some of the Wheel Horse high back seats from the 80's and 90's. The only thing missing is the logo that was embossed on the backrest. Not all of them had the embossing on them though. Can you order these in black?

They will only be available in yellow and John Deere is embossed on the seat. They can be dyed if you know someone who is good with seat dye work. Sorry we can't do the other colors at this time. It's just too expensive of a job, so one color is all we can handle.
