Does anyone know for certain if a front blade off a 400 will directly fit a 420? Thank you so much and I hope this is not a dumb question

Thank you

Not a dumb question but the answer is not easy there is a blade that will and there is a blade that will not without work

Well I invested the two hours it took me to go look at the 400 blade and here is what I found. My 420 has a 16" wide frame and then the "hooks" or lower part of my mount where the blade "hooks" on measures 13" in between the two pieces of 1/4" steel. The 400 blade is designed for a 16" frame at the top of the mount where the spring loaded pins are and is also 16" wide at the bottom.I would have had to move the bottom pins inboard 1 1/4" on both sides to make it work.

I guess I'll keep looking or maybe try to make a mount for my"M02870"
Thank for your replies

Perhaps a new bottom plat... Check e-Bay. I saw one lost week I think was for a 420. Not for sure, but worth a shot in the dark....
