I have to start my tractor with a screw driver across the two large bolts with the key on. I am not getting a 12v. source from the key switch. So I think the key switch is bad not the solenoid. IT is a five prong switch with one left open. Would any 5 prong switch like I see at tractor supply work? Pretty open ended question I guess but maybe somebody has had the very same problem as me.

Something like this is what I am talking about. I know that without knowing the inner working it is hard to say

Those 5 prong switches are all different!!! If you put the wrong one on you could fry everything!!!! Look at the board under the prongs and you will see a single letter by each prong. I ing. B battery G ground and so on. draw a diagram of the switch so you can compare it with one you buy..
