I've been use one on my laptop, because I hate the touch pad.
Yesterday, we plugged in a new camcorder/camera into the laptop.
Since then the trackman won't work.:wallbanging::wallbanging:
Could some settings have been affected? Where/what should I look for?
I'm not really up on this stuff.:confuse:
Operating system is Vista home premium.

I really miss my trackball thingy.
Thanks for any help.:worshippy1:

Sound to be a drive conflict issue.
The first thing I would try is go to your laptops Mfg site and download the most current drives for your track ball.
Let us know if that does it. There are other avenues we can try.

If you unplug the camcoder/ camera does the trackball work again? As Ducky said go to the manufactor's website for both pieces of hardware and get the latest drivers for each. If that does not fix the problem contact the manufacture of each and tell them the problem, it sounds like you have a conflict going on with a dll file and it will take one of them to correct it. Good luck.
