I am working on a new addition, would be happy to store 8-10 for several years.
Good luck with the new purchases.

Congrats on the instant Speedex collection! That must've been one heck of a deal!!

I would simply have to be sure that whatever I spent on the tractors, there was an equal amount available for the wife to "go shopping" with LOL!...And then she'd ask where I was going to store them!

Thats easy...Kenny's ha ha ha

And you're right, the deal ...the guy has been collecting for nearly 40 years, and when he started he started buying older stuff at the time, so I have a few 40's and 50' era tractors the 60's at the time were prevalent so he acquired a few of those and he grabbed a few 70's models, came with a full assortment of implements...decided he was going to get out of the hobby due to health reasons and wanted them to go to one place....When I saw that they were not far from me I called and wanted to take a look, he showed me around his shop and all his tractors and implements, the deal was just to good to walk away from. He indicated he has almost triple in them to what I got them for. The opportunity to gather a collection all at one time may arise from time to time...but this was my first such instance. I've always thought the Speedex's were 'cool' just because they're different...now I have a bunch....

Happy for my wife will be this winter when all the neighbors are 'snowed in' and our driveway and sidewalk looks like a parking lot on a summer day...since I didn't get a blower with my speedex's ...I'll have to use my Case for that task, but it will handle it without even breakin a sweat...

Congrats on getting the whole package. I think that is a great way to "start" a collection. I'm sure it was a good deal too. I bet the man who sold them was glad to see you appreciated them.

Thanks Daytime...I am sure he is. Although he didn't articulate that much he is a real smart guy and knows for sure I am gonna restore em back to showroom new...And that is a big start...I never intended it, I just always thought the Speedex's were cool due to them being more 'old school' than many others, and their unique look. That isn't a dig on any other Brand for I still Love my Colt-Case-Ingersoll collection, and the ingersolls are most likely what I'll be working this winter when the 'chips are down'...but, I will have some reinforcements if necessary...

Well...today I did it...paid for my 'motherload' of speedex's. I brought home 3 decks, 2 plows, 1 hiller 1 cultivator, 2 snow plows, 3 extra engines, and an S14. Tomorrow I hope to bring home the other 11 tractors...this was quite the find for sure...
