I bought a Case 446, or what was left of it, did the 446 come with both single and twin cylinder engines. this one came with a Onan twin. I really just bought it for parts. I paid 50 bucks for the rolling chassis, supposedly another guy is supposed to sell me his 448, but he only looks at his email about once every week.

I "believe" the 446 only came with Onan. The 444 used a Kohler K321.

All 446 and 448 models came with Onan engines only.

442 and 444 models were powered by Kohler K engines, some with start/gen units and others with starters and alternators.

What are your plans for the item shown in your photos? Am I to understand that what is shown in the photos is the sum total of your $50.00 purchase?

Yeah, I bought the while thing for 50 bucks, he wanted 200.00 for the deck and since I already have two extra decks, and I thought it was way to high, I passed on it. I have no idea what I will do with it, I just bought it because it was there.

Can't go wrong for $50. And now you have another set of the sawtooth tires you like.Stick those fronts on your 444 and see how you like the look..Jack

Only one is a saw toothe, I ALWAYS buy new tires and sell the old tires, it's the only way to go. For what people are paying for good used tires it makes new ones cheap, even good ones. I alway have good used tires, people around here are getting know that and are calling regularly.
