Local town here got hit bad with rain today, and flooding. Unfortunately it resulted in paved river crossings on the way home this evening for me, and that is no joke. I drove through water covering the road for up to about 4 football fields long in some places, and as deep as the at least the running boards in some cases. (I was afraid to open the door to find out lol). But it was a bad round of water and I did get home safe. They closed the road after my maiden voyage across the worst of it though LOL. They told Dad (10 minutes behind me) that the road washed out, but I don't believe it, seeing as how I drove on it somewhere beneath the water LOL. And before any of you say it, I wouldn't have driven through the deep water if I hadn't known it as well as this one. Oh, and for reference, I drive a 2004 Ford F150 4x4 pickup, also know as the correct brand for river crossings (fording with a Ford lol)

Nothing like a gentle rain to make the trip home more fun.

Glad you made it, hope everyone down there stayed safe.

Glad you got through before the washout happened. Best be checking fluids in the axles for water. Going that far in deep water may have let some in.

I can see it now........... West Virginia man builds a ferry, out of a electric Springfield tractor. The good ship has a electric generator made out of a caterpillar (Craftsman) with 39 Delco alternators running a inverter to power the springfield. The capstan winches are hydraulic driven by the Case tractors...................... As my Buddy Casey would say Hmmmmmmm. Glad you made it home Casey. Who built the Ark? Have a good one! Shawn

Glad all is well. What's really funny is that I'm supposed to take a raft down a river in WV on Saturday morning. Gulp.
