Standard Catalog of Farm Tractors: "In 1948 the George Tractor Division offered their George Garden Tractor. 250 pound unit. 2 1/2 HP Ultimotor engine."

Can't help with the price. I get my off brand garden tractors and implements from the junk man for junk metal price. Lots of unknowns; condition, parts all there, engine free.

I'm not familiar with that brand, I once gave $25 for a Wards. with sickle, rotary mower, cultivaor & plow running 3 hp Clinton and had new tires.
When I moved from the acreage 12 yrs ago I gave it to my dad. Now that I'm back on an acreage I wish I had it back.

scan0023.jpg i lookedthough my files of stuff, but could only find info on George's Work Bird model. I know they made a line of small tractors, and were later bought out by Agrifab.

Important issue, what is the owner asking for the garden tractor?

I purchased a Wards with plow, wheel weights, running, for $15- at auction. At another auction a running 2 wheel garden tractor with wheel weights and 5 or 6 implements went for $100-.

I plowed a small/medium sized garden plot with the Wards yesterday.

If it is a one wheeled George walk behind, I have one, so it is worth grabbing, they are rare.
