Just bought this tractor online and will go pick it up next weekend. Ive always wanted to restore one of these and this one is in great shape for its age due to being garaged most all its life. Cant wait to get it home. Im getting the mowing deck, wheel weights, and chains with it. Ill be looking for a front blade and a 3 point hitch soon. Attached a pic too.sears ss12.jpg

Hey I got this thing home last nite late after a 525 mi drive. Got up this morning and checked it over and decided to mow my 2.5 acre yard to see what it was capable of. I breezed thru it in about an hour and a half and mowed most of it in 3rd gear hi range.....this thing will fly ! I cant believe how original this old tractor is. All the paint on the tractor is original beside one small side cover. I cant bring myself to paint it with the finish and decals still as good as they are. Even the front and rear tires are the originals which is unbelievable. The original motor had been changed to a later model tecumseh with solid state ignition due to the original motor smoking (I think it was due to stuck rings from sitting and I may get it later) I am really pleased with it and managed to make a deal with the owner while I was there and came home with a complete original 3 point hitch. Ill take some more detailed pics when I have time and post them.

Very nice tractor! Amazing condition! It's pretty hard to beat these old sears as far as bang for your buck.

Got the Sears look-alike trailer put back together this morning and hooked it up to see what it looked like and I think it looks pretty good for an old 20.00 trailer . Now if I can get olcowhand to make me a couple of decals for it we will be in business.ss12 suburban 002.jpg

Great tractor!
Yep, you just got to love styling in the old tractors plus they can always be fixed no matter what.
