When I move the selector arm out of neutral the engine cuts off......move it back and engine runs.
Is there a safety switch somewhere that is malfunctioning?

Welcome to GTTAlk. There is a neutral switch, PTO interlock, seat switch and in later serial numbers there is also a brake switch. I am attaching a copy of the electrical diagram. That may help.

Make sure to check the fuses. The safety circuit is fused and if the fuse is blown it will act that way.

Thanks for the info, the jpeg is too small to read.
The owners manual dosen't show location of fuses/breakers.
I guess they would be somewhere around the battery
