well last weekend was the first bbq contest for the year. It was a lot of fun. 58 teams were cooking.

We were 47 out of 58 teams which is lower than we would have likes but, we still had a good time.

here are a few pictures

Even though we had a tornado warning to the north of us Friday night, and 2 tornado sirens with HEAVY winds and A LOT of rain on Saturday, it was a good contest, with a lot of good teams, and was a lot of fun!

Thanks for bein' such a good neighbor Chuck!

Well, as long as you brought it up, don't forget about me getting 2nd Place in the People's Choice contest...only being beaten there by one vote. :bounce:

Thanks Chuck.

I know it's just fantasy with the members spread out so far, but imagine an all day tractor meet/plow day with all the GTTalk members and Chuck and Jim cooking barbecue. I'd travel a long ways for that.

Well don't be surprised if it does happen. Just a matter of finding a spot that would be in reach of most here on the site. Have to find someone with some ground to let us plow. We might have to seriously work on this.

Hey George, you Dad could get a freightliner & pick up a big bunch of tractors & their owners! Maybe some day I can put just such an event on.

And Congrats Jim for your great showing, and you also Chuck! I can say with all honesty, there couldn't have been a bad BBQ in the entire showing. Love to attend such an event!

I think it will be great to have one event but I can for see the future of having a couple of satellite events across the country eventually. That would be terrific because I know it is hard to make it to a show that is further then 2 hours away.
