Thank you, I have a Sears Suburban 917-25191 I am rebuilding. between that and fishing, I don't know when I will be able to get any of my other work done...... :shoot2:

 

Definitely got the priorities on straight.  Should start your own thread in this section.

Iam new at this just started restoring a old garden tractor i found in a field behind lawnmower shop.I havent found any numbers or tags so far on the tractor.I think it is a 68or69 sears ss12, not   of year.The tractor is in really good condition,all is there. Any advise

It might be a good idea to start a separate thread with a couple of pictures.
On most of these units from that era, the numbers are stamped into the bottom 1/2" of the shift pattern aluminum plate.
