Here's a handy chart for identifying Sears tractors/engines/attachments by model numbers.

I have two old Ropers lawn tractors, eight attachments,a belt driven sickle mower attachment, two decks, a few extra small plows, and two extra rear leverler bars. What would that be worth?

I have a Craftsman II with a 44" cut, 18 h.p. twin cylinder. The model number is 917.255914. I couldn't find it in any of the I.D. lists. When could it have been made?

I have that same tractor. I think it's around 1988. I use the engine date code to identify year.
Still lots of parts for it thru Sears.

944. Is the manufacturer code for Husqvarna. Husky didnt start making (as far as I know) GT and LT products for Sears until after Electrolux stopped (around 2009?)

One of the most noticeable features I've noticed is what they call a tunnel less design. Your feet can just swing thru instead of having to lift up and over. Great for people who have a few mobility issues.
