The 1053's are basically the same as a 1050. The only minor differences are the fenders and some sheet metal.
Keep us updated....

As far as I found when we redid dad's 1053 is they are identical to the 1050 other then the rear fender, paint colors and stickers.

You are starting to get quite the list of tractors going there Maynard. I can take a couple of those off your hands LOL.

Ha ha,I'll tell you,I'm starting to run out of room.I think I'll have to clean out the old mobile home that's on the property and store a few in there.

Well, my 1053 arrived this morning. It's not what I expected,it's quite rough, but it is all there and original except for the seat which is a cheapy after market. It does run,but there are dents everywhere, and the "park" pin is ceased. It came with wheel weights and a mower deck which is in near perfect shape.

Well,I a few minutes this morning to put a battery in it and get it running. It actually runs pretty good, although I think the carb is going to need a kit as there is a little gas running through it when it is shut off.The clutch was stuck,so I freed that up and was then able to take it for a short run around the yard.I can't get get over the condition of the deck,it is almost mint except for scratches in the paint and it's faded really bad.Shifter is pretty loose too.
