I've never heard of one before either, but I think he's asking a bit much for it in the condition it's in. It's kinda cockeyed! The Left front spindle is either bent really bad or the bearings in that wheel are completely shot. Judging from the last of the 5 pictures, it's both. There's some cosmetic damage too and it's been re-painted...poorly at that. That's just my $.02. I suppose that if it could be ascertained how rare it is, he may have a market for it. I did a quick Google search and couldn't find any reference to a Harley Davidson lawnmower that wasn't someone who put a Harley engine on a lawn mower or a mower deck on a Harley bike. Could just be a sticker too. I'd like to get to the bottom of it though. Could be some interesting research!

I'd sure have to see more than that little sticker on the hood. I'd think it if were a Harley Davidson for real, the hood sticker would be much larger.

I've never seen anything with the harley name on it, except a few golf carts .the early amf's were built by massey, the later stuff was built here in york at the amf plant, i remember as a kid in the 70's, a neihbor that worked for amf, he would get a new lawn tractor every year

I have to agree with John. Murray made a model that had that flat top hood and headlights in the corners, the mower deck is Murray for sure. I would bet it's a Murray, They are a good mowing machine and I have seen them modified for ground engagement work and do some pretty crazy things. But the guys doing that are pushing he limits of the transmittion/axles to the ragged edge.I don't think it comes even close to a Harley Quality Machine. A guy can paint a machine any way he wants to, but that does not make it a Harley.

Not that I would knock a Murray, I have one I was skeptical of when I got it, but have become quite fond of it and work it every day. Mowing, pulling a 5'X8' trailer and a garden cart, and a 5 ft section of drag harrow.
Mine is a 99 model newer than this one.

Which proves my theory that all makers ,make some good ones and a few stinkers.

That is over priced for sure. I would say if it ran good and tires were good, $150-200 would be a fair price.
The mower lift problem is not to hard to fix.

I tried to include a picture but it did not work.
This link might?

100% Murray for sure. That body style was used from 1989 to 1994.
