:dancingbanana: I was driving through a very small town near my camp in potter county Pa and as i drove past this yard sale i seen this being used as a table. I was not sure if what i had seen was infact what i had seen. I told my girlfriend that if the sale is still open when we come back through later that day i was going to stop and check it out. So as we entered the town later that day the sale was still open and i stopped. As i walked up to the "TABLE" i could see the dust caps and knew then that i had to try and buy this. The strange thing is, I had stopped at this same place many time over the summer and never took notice what the lady was useing as a table. How i don't know, but never did. I ask the lady if the cart was for sale and she said she had not thought about selling it. So i ask what she would need to sell it. Her reply was, let me get my husband. I thought it was all over then and there. He came out of the shop and started right off with, You know that is an old wheel horse wagon. I had to play it COOL and said Oh is it. Then he tells me how he worked at the local wheel horse dealer in the 60's and he got the wagon at that time. Then he ask why i wanted it so i told him to pull with my wheel horse that i am trying to restore. So i ask him if it was for sale and he tells me it is his wifes and it is up to her. So i am thinking GREAT!! I ask her again and she tells me to make an offer and i did. She walks back into the shop to talk to her husband and returns with a counter offer. I took her offer and now have a great wagon to restore and show. I AM STILL SMILING FROM EAR TO EAR!!!!!!!!

From what I hear, those are a "You can't afford it" item at the flea markets.

Wonderful find! Can't believe another one has risen the surface.

Nice wagon. If you could at some time, get a pick of the front axle assy. You might have to put it on it's side, just would like to know how the steering works. Thanks. I may have to build something like that and use my winch for a dump hoist.

Nice wagon there gapper. That's a miniture barge box wagon just like when i was young, in the 50's. Farmers here would put single or double side boads on them to hold more. They even had a hyd. lift on them. Cool wagon. Gotta find one of those myself. :) Randy G.

Nice find gapper. Now you should have made a south western return trip to York so you could drop it off in Punxsutawney for me! Shawn

We need an Emoticon that has the jaw dropping wide open! But since we don't currently have one like that...:worshippy1::worshippy1::worshippy1: That's an awesome find Gapper!! If you decide that you don't want it, I have a home for wayward Wheel Horses and would gladly open my doors to it LOL!
