New here.
I found a 314 for sale with a B/S 14 hp engine. I haven't seen other 314's with a Briggs. Should it be a kohler?
Is 1100 a fair price? It looks good and has a cart and spreader that goes with it.
Just curious. :anyone:

70Blazer, WELCOME to GT talk, glad you joined us. I would wonder if it wasn't a WORK HORSE, made by Wheel Horse. W.H. built this line of tractors for a lower priced W.H.. They came with B.&S. instead of Kohlers.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know much about WH, so I'll just lurk.

 70Blazer Welcome to GTTalk! We're really glad to have you with us! I would say that being a 314 it should have a Kohler on it. If you could post some pictures of it, it would help us to help you figure it out. There should be a model / serial number tag on it somewhere on the seat pan that could narrow it down for you. Thanks for signing up and hope that you can get some pictures up soon! Looking forward to helping you out!

It looks to be a toro wheel horse. I haven't seen it yet but hope to tomorrow. Here are a couple photos from the cl listing.

That looks like a Magnum Kohler to me, not a B & S engine . You can fill us in tomorrow after you get it. Nice tractor, you will love it.

314's were manufactured between 1993-2001 in both 8-Speed and Hydro (automatic) versions. All of the machines, regardless of transmission type, were equipped with Kohler M14S (Magnum), CH14 (Command ), or CH14S (Command ) engines. Your picture does not enlarge well enough to tell for sure, but I think it is a Kohler M14S. A close-up of the engine with the hood up will help immensely.
