Picked up a york rake today

Had a guy stop by with this and a couple other things and ended up buying them off him.The rake works great but i will need to drain the old gas and give it a carb cleaning.I would guess it is from the late 60's to 70's.

Bob, I'm completely ignorant here, and rather than Googling it, I'll just ask.....just what does a York rake do??? Never seen underside of one, or been near one.

Cool I like it, looks like it rakes the loose grass or hay to 1 side.
I always thought a York rake, Landscapers rake was for leveling loose dirt???

well i did google it. all i could see from the current site is they make brooms and dirt/rock rakes. This must have been something they made before. does kind of look like a side delivery hay rake. Interesting item, always wanting to know about new stuff.

Dan sorry took awhile to get back but you know as much as i do on it just thought it was neat. I had it running and it seams to work just like the big hay rakes you see on the tractors when bailing hay.I will add a pic tomorrow of the under side.
