well i went ahead and orderd a fd 731v-bs07 and in stalled it in my 320 . was not as bad install at all . took more time figuring out the wiring to make sure i got it right ,but it was not bad . no cutting the hood , exhaust could be a problem though i had to redo the ehaust piping and make new flanges and weld them on ,

Greetings Worm,

(if you are still out there!)

I am following the EXACT same path. I am repowering my JD 320 with the Kawasaki 731 engine. I have noticed the differences in exhaust and wiring, and have begun to search for manuals and schematics to get this done. I thought why not try to contact someone that has done it before..?

If anyone has any idea on the wiring changes, I would really appreciate the HELP! Once I get over this bump it should go fairly quickly...I think I hear the grass growing... THX!

Welcome to the forum. don't know if you'l find worm or not. It doesn't appear that he has been back to the forum since Oct 2011. Maybe someone else can help though.
