Form what I have heard it is doable if you are OK with working inside the transmission and take care to keep everything clean so you don't contaminate the oil. The kit for the rear PTO comes with very good instructions as do most of the JD accessories. If you have never done it before and you don't have the instructions then I would consider getting help from someone with experience. The transmissions are very expensive to repair!!
