Does anyone know if the brake lining on a 214 is a dealer item.

Dan I had a look on JDParts.com and they list a brake band partNo AM37102 When I added it to the cart it was changed to Part No. AM134368 Bonded brake band. Cost was about 50$ Canadian. The part is still available. You should verify these numbers before ordering.

brake band
for S/N -55000 is AM34689 - AM134369 replaces part # Am34689 sells for $47.57,
for S/N 55001-95000 is AM37102 and for S/N 95001- is AM37102 - replacement part number is AM134368 for $42.38 is Marshalltown, Iowa

I doubt it but you can but try. You might be able to find used ones but I'm not familiar with the parts situation for the 200's. Gear tractors are always harder on the brakes. With hydro you hardly ever need them.
