Hi folks

The fender deck on my 8 is rusted out underneath in the back corners where the support rod goes through the fender deck. The corners are completely gone. If anyone could take some photos of that area of an 8 I would appreciate it. I need to figure out how to repair it while making sure the repair is not visible from the outside.
Thanks

I will ask George (NUTNDUN) tomorrow about getting some pics. He and his family just got home not long ago and he looked pretty tired. Hopefully they will be what you need.

Thanks, thats what I am looking for. I see the one in your pictures is starting to split in the same spot. Mine is completely rusted away in that area. Mine is a gear drive as well. I should be able to design a patch and have it welded onto the inside. If done properly it would be hard to see.

Thanks everyone. IamSherwood has the correct views of the fender deck to see what I need to know. I am going to put the fenderdeck in the electrolysis tank but I want to have a solution for the rusted bits before I do that, so that I can prime it ASAP after it comes out of the tank.

weird, deja vu, did you or someone ask that question a long time ago? I read most of the old posts, seems very familiar.

In the third picture from the left just behind and above the pivot rod. Is that a split in the metal or is it just the way the rear panel hangs down.
