My Cub Cadet 109 hydrostatic transmission is always trying to move forward or back when running.

If it's in reverse and I press the brake, the lever moves to the "N" position, but wants to continue slowly in reverse. The same behaviour for forward.

If I play with the position, I can get the tractor to stay, but if I change the engine speed it wants to start moving slowly.

It's almost like fwd and rev are overlapping and staying put is a balance.

This is my first vintage Cub Cadet.

I never adjusted the linkages on the hydro Cubs. It sounds like a linkage needs tightened up, kind of like vibration is moving the lever. There should be a manual in the manuals section, even if it is for a different model they used the same hydros and as long as it is the same series, like narrow frame, wide frame or others.
