Hi everyone well I think I cought the bug. Here is my 2nd one.PICT0010.jpg It needed a little work to get it up and going but now works great. It is a Dayton 16HP Hydrostatic drive. Model # 3Z523. Built in 1978. 50" deck and snowblower. Everything works great and has wonderful power. Mark

That's a good looking, complete machine there! Pretty much same as my Unico 15.

Nice MTD you've got there. They are a really solid tractor.

Good looking machine. By the way, there is no known cure for the "Bug". The only thing you can do is treat the symptoms. Best way most of us have found is to periodically buy more...

That's a great looking machine! I'd like to have one of the old MTD's some day. Then I could set it up next to one of their newer cookie cutter pieces and show people what happens when a good company sells out to the almighty dollar!

Amen Brother!!

I've seen Daniel refer to his sister tractor as a Unico 15. Does anyone happen to have a list of other brands that MTD manufactured (990 style)?

I didn't realize that there was so many spin offs of the MTD. Probably a lot of them out of action and ready to restore. I hadn't seem my first one until rustyoldjunk showed me his. Very neat machines!
