I'll see if I have a better pic, but it's visible in these.

it's held on with the muffler clamp looking piece.

Post # 1 in this thread shows picture of both, with and without sleeve extension.

The reason for the extension is that the frames are different, Hydro frame is longer, the rear plate is pushed back a bit, which moves the tiller back, distance from the PTO gearbox and the tiller is longer, so you need a longer driveshaft and the sleeve extension is what they did to make up the deference.

So, the "without" will work with the 12g, just not with the 12H. Only asking 'cause I want to get my tiller factoids right. :)

One more question, even when the 650 is on the 12H, the actual Driveshaft is the same, it's just the sleeve extension that's the lengthening agent?

Without for geardrives
With for Hydros

Driveshaft the same for both tractors gear and hydro.

Well, i found another narrow tiller at a public auction. We went and looked at it fri night and auction was on sat. It's not as nice as my other one. I had to work so my dad went to auction for me,and was the 1 and only bidder on it,so we got it cheep i think. He started at $50 and thats were it stayed.I didn't need another one but for that price i don't mind. The main reason i wanted it it had the spring mount that i didn't get with my other one.Now i have one to go off of to fab one. :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: massey 001.JPG massey 002.JPG massey 003.JPG

It's in really nice shape for a 650. Especially good deal since you got the gear box & drive shaft too!

I finally got to use my 650 tiller on my front yard, well actually weed patch that i mow.The nehibors had there maple tree taken down.It was old and alot of limbs were dying off.The tree would block the sun and i couldn't get grass to come in.I tried a couple of times.First i plowed it with my wheel horse. Then i started with the 66 10 dropped the tiller and stalled it.Had it to deep.Raised it up some and away i went.Got to the 3rd round and stalled it again.Tractor wouldn't start.Points plunger stuck.I tried to free it up but broke it.Got tiller hooked up to my 67 10 and tilled whole yard after work today.Took about an hour and half.I went over it 5 times so it looks pretty good.I must say i'm very impressed with how well these do.front yard 001.JPG front yard 2 001.JPG

picked up a 650 Tiller w/side extension today at a consignment sale. The unit is complete,It was all the same lot # but the stuff was sold individually.Nothing was grouped together. They had the tiller, then a 12g,hh120 motor,5 other items, another 12g,a milk can, next a tote full of parts. It included the drive shaft for the tiller, gear box, sleeve hitch yoke, mower deck parts.
