Wow, you guys have a mess. Kinda reminds me of the washouts and flooding we had here this spring. We still have 4 bridges out within 10 miles of me.

Good luck and everyone stay safe on the cleanup... Downed trees can spring when cut and those bridge pics don't look like it's as solid as it used to be.

thanks, me and my uncle helped put in a new quick driveway thrue the woods for his friend, driveway was gone down the hill, house up the road was worse, could not get out, parts of main polen rd was gone, river underminded it, we made it as far up as we could go before finding a 50 - 60 feet section 6 to 8 feet deep of the road gone, underminded by the water, trees were snapping like toothpicks, bridges and dirt roads are out everywere in northren Ma. lucky for me im on the other side of the mountain so the bulk of the wind whent over us, town of whatly next to us around the whatly resevor was smashed flat,
good thing is, we have lots of firewood and work now !

After watching video of the destruction on TV, it is still hard to comprehend how much damage was caused by this storm. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that was in the path of
Irene.

Our hearts are with all those affected by Irene. What a mess mother nature can cause. From winter to summer you all out east have had more than your share of grief. Randy& Donna
