I've not been online as much the last 24hrs, as Mom broke her hip yesterday. She's 86 & was pottering in her yard digging up flower bulbs when she turned standing still & just fell. Pretty sure her hip broke causing the fall. Luckily the ball that goes into the hip socket snapped off instead of her leg or hip frame breaking. Just before noon, she went into surgery & made a simple surgery to replace the broken ball flange. She's doing well & had Sherbet just a bit over an hour after surgery. Likely be a week before she gets home, but all is looking super right now. Now she'll have metal on both sides. 10 years ago she fell on ice & broke her other leg's femur badly. She healed up great then, and hoping/praying she has a speedy recovery again.

Will do for sure! I have lots of work to do tomorrow, so if she's doing well, I will stay home & tend chores, then go up Friday.

Dan, it sounds like your Mom is on the mend already. That is a very quick resolution to the problem. Hip replacements and repair surgery has become pretty common these days.
Dad had a full hip replacement in 2005 and he has been pain free since. Hopefully your mom will have a quick and complete recovery.
