Very nice! I like the older style hood and grill on the 120/140 better than the 300 style. Those rear tires look great. If you run them with a lowish pressure the traction is incredible with those.

If I were to do it again I would not go quite as high.  The line I used was easy to follow but miss the green that it covers up.

Thank you Brian!  I also like the looks of this era of Deere tractors but dig the 200/300 series too.  I think the tires are just the right combination of traction yet not being hard on terf.  Really tempted to swap the seat and deck from the 314 and put the 120 to work, especially since the steering box of the 314 needs a rebuild.  :wallbanging:    Enough of the waiting already!

Go for it! I'm going to rob my 314 of the fender deck when the 317 is ready to roll. The 314 needs some work which I'll do after the 317 is up and running.

HOpefully tonight I will steal the seat from the 314 and install it on the 120.  Once that is in place the mower deck will go on the 120 and it will be done for now. :smilewink:

A few more pics.  I drove it down to the local Napa and service station that helped me with the project.  They liked what they saw.

Do you think it would be a good candidate for the tractor of the month? :D

Model 41 deck removed from the 314 and installed on the 120.  I still need to level it but that is not difficult.  Also, the PTO did not work so I had to trace some wiring to figure out I installed the upgraded PTO switch incorrectly.  All is well with it other than the old deck looks bad on the repainted tractor.

BEAUTIFUL!!! except the deck... you need to get some glamour shots before you get it all dirty. Remember, it will never look this good again... no matter how much you clean it.

Thank you!  The deck looks like crap... but it will get some attention over the winter. I thought the pics in the last post were glamourous... :D

Thank you!  I can point out every flaw in it, including the crack that has happed in the hood since I put it back together.  :wallbanging:  If you looked at it in person there are lots of little things that would make you double-take.  I would call this a "resto-mod" which combines classic design with modern improvements.  :smilewink:
