Steering column/box rebuilt and ready to install. The parts I picked up from Kirkengines for the Cub steering box did NOT work. They are for a 5/8" bolt and the 120 uses 3/4". I will try to come up with my own version of his kit and go from there.

I am working for an alternate to the Kirk pieces that did not fit. I found a thrust bearing that will work at Grainger and it should be here Tuesday. Here is a pic.

The thrust bearing from Grainger arrived today. Definitely overkill but will fit the bill. Here are a few pics of it before, during and after installation. I picked up a washer to place between the nut and you can see it in the final pic. I will place some lock-tite on the nut when I get it torqued to specs.

I hope to do the install and continue with reassembly on Friday.

Fantastic work. Doubt that bearing will fail, anytime soon.

Getting anxious to get to work on it but I have plenty of things to do at the church this week.

I'd quit my job but I need the money. :smilewink:

Got some work done yesterday. Finished and installed the column, installed the dash pedestal, and installed the steering drag link. I also installed a few of the parts from Kirk. I will get individual pics up later. Here it is with the pedestal installed.

Getting a fair amount done this morning. Dash console is bolted down & hydro linkage is back in place. Working on painting a few small parts and touching up the column since I scratched it up yesterday. :wallbanging: A pastor friend called me a bit of a perfectionist. I assured him that I am far from perfect, as it the tractor. :smilewink:

I had to get the hood on there! I needed to see some more progress besides the little things I have worked on today.

Long needed update...

Made it through late November and December which are some of the busiest times of the year for a small town pastor.  I have a bit of a break until Lent hits mid-February.  Santa gave me some $$$ for Christmas so I need to order a few more parts:

- steering wheel

- decal kit and hood bolts from Hapcoparts.com

- Lines to finish the H3 conversion.  I need to mock up the pump lines and see if the local Napa can make them for me.

Other than that not much more has happened other than I put the '66 RF 110/deck/blade for sale today.
