I was going to peoples houses that collected tractors today and I went to a guys house and he showed my his 13 cub cadet lawn mowers and then about 10 Farmall tractors. then I asked do you have any Bolens and he said Ya I do and it has a snow blower on it too and its for sale. so I looked at it and it was a Bolens G8 he said he wanted 50$ for it with the snow blower!!!! I don't have any pictures but I will post pictures tomorrow after I take it home. I can't find much information on these are the rare ?

I have one. I don't know if they are rare but parts are. Make sure the axle isn't broke.

Most likely not.

I'm pretty sure that in the G Series, only the G12 and G14 have the controlled differential.

I know that my '77 G10 doesn't have one.

The G8 Is most commonly referred to as the Small Frame Bolens.
This model is a 3 speed without the controlled differential

HPIM1733.jpg OK here are here are the pictures:smile1: I have lots of questions First I want to know what year it is the number in the engine was 813 then there was one that said no. 0402882 I dont know if it has spark but it turned over when I put a battery in it. I was impressed for how wimpy looking it is it had a disk brake on the tranny I cant find any manuals for the g8 in the small frame manuals section does any one have a parts list and wiring diagram that they would be willing to copy and give me?

Judging by the Decals It should be around a 73'-75'

I think you got a decent deal, everything looks to be complete

Bolens Used those "Husky" Decals from 1973 - Early 75' Then After that The FMC decals were used.
It is possible that the engine has been replaced at some point... you can see where there is red on the starter which was not an original color.
