I purchased a 300 john deere with the mower deck 54 ' 4 way blade 33' tiller and brinly plow.I have had to put a few parts into her ,starter ,solenoid,a couple of hydraulic lines, but she is running good.
Very interesting forum with lots of help.

Welcome Denny. There seem to be lots of people on here lately with older 300 series tractors. We should soon be getting a service manual for the early 300 series.

Does anyone know if there is a manual for a 240 here somewhere?

 arlaro85 Welcome to GTTalk! Be sure to stop over to the Member Introductions forum so we can all say a proper hello! As to your question...Check the manuals tab at the top of the page just under the header. I didn't see anything specific to the 240, but there is a service manual, a parts manual, and an operators manual for the entire 200 series in there. Thanks for signing up and enjoy the forum!

Welcome to GTTalk. I think that the 200 series is a different tractor then your 240. There are 240 owners who have recently posted questions here. Post any specific questions you have and we will help if we can. You can access the parts diagrams for your tractor by going to jdparts.com and doing a model no. search.

Brian is right, the 240 is a completely different machine than the older 200 series. The manuals and parts catalogs in our manual section are currently all for the older 200 series, nothing yet for the 240, 260, etc.
