ok it has been a little while since we did a walking tractor..............so let do just that.........Here is a mid 70's Edco Walking Tractor. These where built in Des Moines Iowa. The company also built a plow hoss the single wheeled tractor. Theres another thread about that line somewhere in here. This tractor has both forwards and reverse in a single speed. Uses a 6hp briggs with a reduction. They made many attachments for the unit. All i have right now is the tractor, but it runs since i took parts from my single wheeled unit and put together a complete tractor. This tractor is the last hurrah for walk behind machines.edko 3.jpg

Thanks Brian,
I believe the paint to be original on this one, it should clean up nice. The only real problem it has is the reverse wheel is hard plastic so it doesn't back up real well. I bought it at auction in October of 2003.

The paint looks original to me
Do your tires have calcium in them? Your rims look to be in great shape compared to most of the ones I have seen.

Yours is plastic? I was thinking that Bruce said they were to be a fiber or bronze disc. We'll have to get him back over here and confirm that.

Yes, Bruce did say that they used a fiber and bronze disc. Mine has the Bronze metal disc

The plastic is a home brewd repair a previous owner made. I call it a good idea that didn't work.
