Anybody have any thoughts on what grease is recommended for the ball bearings in a Delco generator?

We always used chassis grease in D/R starter/generators bearings. ......Just be sure not to put too much in, and the bearing must have a seal or shield on the side that goes toward the armature.

Thanks for the heads-up. I thouht about just doing that, but then thought maybe it wouldn't hold up is why the wanted a heavier grease. I have found that most bearing application require a non-EP grease that is lithium based. I have a can of Valvoline wheel bearing grease for Fords, think I'll just use that.
